Experience the promising 2025 Juneteenth Cleveland & Onyx Festival June 19th - 21st, proudly presenting "Afrofuturism"! As Cleveland continues to evolve and expanded, this unique city is home to many generations of dreamers, doers, and seers. This year’s event is an invitation to experience Cleveland as the home of Black Excellence. “Afrofuturism” represents a visionary movement that merges African culture and history with futuristic elements and imaginative technology. It envisions a future where Black identity and experiences are celebrated, exploring possibilities that challenge the dominant narratives of the past.Through various forms of art, literature, and music, Afrofuturism not only reclaims African heritage but also inspires new ways of thinking about society, innovation, and the universe. In essence, Afrofuturism is not just a genre or aesthetic; it is a powerful lens through which we can envision a brighter, more inclusive future for all. This is the story of Juneteenth and how we were freed from chains and now we must free the chains of our minds. We are free to expand our dreams and seek help from our neighbors in the process of creating our own generational wealth.
